On Wednesday, September 1st. Rick Berg began a "North Dakota Way" Tour.  The tour will last 9 days and Berg will meet with North Dakotans from 18 different cities across North Dakota.  Click here for more information on Berg's statewide tour.

Meanwhile, while Rick Berg is touring the state meeting with thousands of citizens, Earl Pomeroy's campaign website doesn't have any publican appearances or events listed.

Earl Pomeroy has been trailing Rick Berg in the polls for 7 straight months and has been running false attack adds against Berg. Not only has Pomeroy been lying about Rick Berg's record but this week his campaign tried to silence the NDSU College Republicans' freedom of speech.

Rick Berg has released a commercial responding to Earl Pomeroy's dirty tricks.  Check it out!
Chapter 3 on "False & Negative" campaign tactics is definitely true seeing as Pomeroy's campaign lied about trying to get NDSU to force the College Republicans to take down their game.

The first College Republican meetings at the campuses of NDSU and UND were held yesterday with record breaking attendance!  Each chapter had more than double the number of attendees than it has seen in the last decade at least! NDSU had over 45 members at their meeting while the UND College Republicans had 52 members attend their first meeting after their campus' organization fair!  It is safe to say that Obama's liberal agenda may be doing more to energize the college republicans in North Dakota than anything else in history!!!

Below are some pictures from NDSU's first CR meeting.

Earl Pomeroy showed last week that he is seriously worried about polls showing him trailing Rick Berg for the seventh straight month by releasing a baseless and false attack ad against Berg.  Rick responded with this.
This is a great response to Earl's attack add.  North Dakotans will like Rick staying positive and on message while Earl Pomeroy tries to go straight to the mud.

The NDSU College Republicans have taken over NDSU's Memorial Hall and are hitting recruiting very aggressively.  Students walking through the Memorial Union at NDSU will see signs advertising the college republican's meetings along with a CR table maned by active college republicans.  During the first 2 days of the new school year the NDSU College Republicans have signed up 35 new members! At this pace, the CRs at NDSU will sign up over 100 new members during the first week of school!

The UND College Republicans will be recruiting new members at the UND organization fair from 10-3pm on Wednesday, August 25th. The NDSU College Republicans will also be recruiting new members at NDSU's organization fair Tuesday of next week.

Throughout 2008, college aged students were not the only ones who flocked to then Senator Obama's flowery rhetoric. Many news broadcasters seemed to be enamored with candidate Obama as well (Chris Matthew's "Thrill running up my leg" comment comes to mind).
However, in recent months Obama has begun to find some in the media (other than Fox News and conservative talk radio) who can't stay silent when they hear somethings laughably not true come out of the president's mouth.  Mark Knoller, CBS News White House correspondent, read President Obama's statement that securing the southwest boarder of the United States was "a top priority" for his administration.  Mark didn't buy it so he decided to look to see if Obama has said other issues were a "top priority" for his administration.  His findings were startling...

Just in case you were wondering, Webster's definition of top is "The highest point, level, or part of something."  This definition suggests that the for something to be on "top" it is unique and second to no other.  Maybe the "constitutional professor" Obama and his speechwriters should dust off the old dictionary.

And I think the RSC is right on the money.  Obama and the democrats keep pushing their liberal agenda with no regard to how the American people feel about what they are doing.  From passing the federal government takeover of the U.S. Healthcare industry (which 60% of Americans support repealing), to trillons of dollars in government bailouts, to Obama suing Arizona over the immigration law that a majority of Americans support, it is increasingly more apparent that it is the Democrat party that has been filled with extreme ideas and politicians.
I am glad to see the Republican Senatorial Committee coming out and going after the democrats.  The American people are running against their agenda on just about every issue.  Need more proof?  Rick Berg is leading Earl Pomeroy by 9 points in August's poll and Rick fundraised more money that Earl did last quarter. Also, it seems that nothing could keep Gov. John Hoeven from becoming the first republican senator elected in North Dakota in 30 years.

This video proves that President Reagan was right on the money when he discussed the dangers of liberalism and the ruling class!  It is almost creepy how accurate Reagen has been in communicating the plans of the liberal democrats The Gipper was definitely ahead of his time and knew what the liberals would try to pull off.  We need more conservatives like him!

Several ND College Republicans came out to volunteer at the United Republican Committee (URC) Summer Picnic on Tuesday in Fargo.  They helped direct traffic and parking, relieved other volunteers so they could go through the buffet line, and helped hand out Hoeven for Senate bumper stickers while signing up volunteers.

A special thanks to CRs: Teila Schjei, James Kallod, Brock Schmeling, Nicole Bredahl, and Matt Nelson for all of the great work!  It is because of workers like these that the College Republicans are such a well respected organization that Republican candidates know they can turn to when they need help or volunteers for their campaigns.  Below are some of the pics that our statewide candidates took with CRs who attended.
